Singapore was the first city in Asia that I visited more than a decade back.
In Singapore, everything can be reached by foot, bike or public transport and getting around is efficient and effortless.
Singapore's famous Orchard Road and its many malls provide vast money-spending opportunities, but I focus on exploring during the day visiting such sites as Marina Bay, Merlion Park, Sentosa Island, the Zoo and city exploring tours by bike, boat or amphibious vehicle. By exploring Gardens by the Bay, Fort Canning or the Southern Ridges parks, I'm also focussing on budget-friendly options.
The Gardens by the Bay not only provide many places to remain cool in the city's tropical climate, but it includes architecture and highlights the city's attention to detail in designing this place. The Gardens also reflect the city's priority to grow as a green city, which is evident in many of the modern buildings.
come alive at night
My first evening and night on clarke quay probably wouldn't have ended if the sun hadn't come out. With the warm temperatures, spending day and night outside all year is appealing. The city provides many places to party all night, but also exploring provides many architectural treasures and photogenic scenes.
Singapore inspires me to go out and explore every time I visit. I can't wait for my next stop over to find new places and take home more impressions and experiences.
